One of the triggers of asthma can be associated with dust mites. Dust mites live in our beds, feeding off the dead skin cells we shed. Conventional mattresses have a lot of material which can harbour dust mites. Waterbeds, on the other hand, only have the material layer that covers the sealed water mattress. This material layer is much less than the amount of material found in a conventional mattress, and is easy to keep clean.
